would have been 5 stars as the machine was generally good and the price was fair, however... There was a tear in the metal of the chipper's discharge tube, the bit that allows one to direct the downward angle of the chute. The tear allowed the top bit to gradually close. There has been a bit of duct tape on there at some stage, I assumed to hold it open. We did a LOT of chipping and the tear did run and get worse. Still 5 stars, these things happen, However.... When I brought the machine back, I told Phil, the owner that I was impressed with the machine, and that the only slight issue was with the tear in the chute, which I pointed out "That wasn't there when it left the yard!" says Phil. Me: "Um, well it was there when I got it." Phil " We don't send out anything broken!" Me: "Are you accusing me of lying?" Phil: "Don't threaten me on my own property!" Phil parks me in (so I cant run away?) while he goes to check the CCTV to show me that it was good when we took it. I wait grumpily but patiently. He comes back: "You're lucky", he says, "its not clear on the CCTV." I try to show him the pics of the old rusty edges of the tear, compared to the new tear, but he refuses to look. He whinges again that I was threatening him, and says I was "puffing my chest like a pansy" I'm giving him an extra star because I suspect that he's on the spectrum and might not be able to manage social interaction. Added pics to show the old and new tears. I'm not expecting an apology, although that would be nice. Also Phil, if you are reading this, I apologise if I made things worse. no one likes being accused of stuff they haven't done, but perhaps I was too quick to take umbrage,
